■ About the Product
This 5oz selvedge chambray is slowly and carefully woven on vintage shuttle looms from the early 1950s, at a historic mill in Japan’s Bitchu region. Crafted with slub yarns in both the warp and weft, it features a dry, textured hand and a distinctively vintage character. Over time, the indigo dye reveals beautiful, unique fades—making each piece a canvas of personal history.
・Constructed with triple-needle stitching—a hallmark of classic work shirts—this piece is built to last and can be enjoyed for years to come. Enjoy this exclusive chambray shirt by BIG JOHN.
*Please note: This product does not use Takase shell buttons.
*Ibara City, located in the Bitchu region of Okayama Prefecture, is part of the Sanbi area—alongside the Bingo region (including Fukuyama City in Hiroshima) and the Bizen region (eastern Okayama). The area is known globally as a major hub for denim production.
